This semester you can join our Creative Problem Solving Teams.  Fall is always the Exploratory course, when we work on our quick thinking skills, and use Instant Challenges to make your creativity muscles grow.  Then in the Spring, this class is offered as 3 credits, cross listed as ISAT 280, ENGR 280, and SCOM 318. 

 

SCOM 318 is my componant of the course, we form interdisciplinary teams to resolve a specifc challenge issued by the organization "Destination Imagination," and students who are enrolled as SCOM become team managers.  These students have hands on projects that will increase their skills in group management, leadership and are given an internship-like experience, as they learn the role of a manager.

 

The other sections are interactive, as they work on a final solution to the chosen Challenge.  If you love the freedom to be creative in a class, and exercise your own choices and descision making processes, contact me for further information about joining us.
